VERITAS MK II STANDARD HONING GUIDE
The MK II Standard model uses a blade carrier with a flat clamping bar that registers
on the face of the blade. It includes a registration jig, & a roller base with a stable 2”
wide wheel. It handles flat & tapered chisels & oddly shaped blades from 1/4” to
2-7/8” wide & up to 1/2” thick, (even short Stanley Type 151 spokeshave blades). A 3
position eccentric cam on the roller base lets you apply micro-bevels without repo-
sitioning the blade. The registration jig clamps to the blade carrier & squares your
blade to the guide. 3 color-coded bevel ranges: high (25°–54°), standard (15°–40°) &
back-bevel (10°–20°) let you set your angle accurately. Includes instructions.

MK II NARROW BLADE HONING GUIDE
The Narrow guide’s blade holder uses a self-centering side clamping mechanism
with canted parallel jaws that keep the tool centered on the jig. It hold blades from
1/8” to 1-1/2” wide; bevel-edge chisels up to 15/32” thick & squared-edged chisels
up to 11/32” thick. It hones bevels from 15°–40° & back bevels from 10°–20°. The guide
includes the same roller base & registration jig as the Standard Model. If you already own the
Standard MK II, get the Narrow Blade Guide Head Only to attach to your existing MK II roller base.
