TORMEK T-8 SHARPENING SYSTEM
For over 40 years Tormek has been an innovator & leader in
sharpening technology for woodworkers. Their machines are unsurpassed
for quality, versatility, edge positioning accuracy & repeatability when
grinding, sharpening and honing just about every tool in your shop & home.
Like previous models, Tormek’s T-8 has a 10” ceramically made, 220X aluminum oxide
MADE grindstone wheel that is continuously bathed in water, keeping your tool’s edge cool. Once
IN an edge has been ground at 220X, the included Stone Grader lets you grade the tool to a
SWEDEN 1000X finish without changing your jig or tool rest settings or having to change wheels, so your
sharpening angle stays exactly the same.The quiet, yet powerful AC motor spins the stainless steel shaft at 90 RPM
without slinging water, while the water tray captures the grinding dust, eliminating any air-borne respiratory hazards.
Tormek’s T8 sharpener has a sturdier re-designed housing that has a zinc die cast
frame with impact & rust resistant ABS polymer panels. Supports for the Universal SE-77
Support bar are cast into the cabinet housing, ensuring minimal play & precise sharp-
ening results. The included SE77 Square Edge Jig has a new design with greater mass
for more stability. Improved functionality makes it easier to clamp your chisel & plane Square
irons securely to ensure you get flawless 90° edges & an adjustment feature allows you Edge Jig
to sharpen a camber onto your edges. (SE77 is available separately & works on all previous model Tormek sharpeners.)
The newly designed water tray is easy to install & raises and lowers into place with a simple twist of the knob,
keeping spills to a minimum. A removable magnet/scraper tool helps clean out metal particles from the trough.
The included leather stropping wheel, charged with stropping paste, effortlessly

hones your tools to a final razor’s edge within 30 seconds.
There are optional jigs & jig packages for practically every kind of tool. The jigs
slide onto the micro-adjustable Universal Support Tool Bar & operate parallel to the
Tool wheel without requiring calibration. Most work happens above the wheel, grinding
Rest into the tool’s edge. However, the tool rest can be moved into the included Horizon-
tal Base for more jig positioning choices & to grind & hone away from the tool’s edge. Weighs 33lbs.
